SETTING A NEW STANDARD IN CERVICAL SPACER DESIGN

Dr. John R. Ehteshami, MD
Chief Executive Officer

John Ehteshami, MD practice focuses on the cervical spine. He is based in Phoenix, AZ and his goal of trying to address as much of his patient’s pathology through anterior approach led to development of Additive Implants. Dr. Ehteshami completed his BS in Civil Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, then proceeded to complete an orthopedic residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell which is ranked number one in US News and World Report’s for Orthopedic Hospitals. He did his Spinal Surgery fellowship at Rush Medical Center. Dr. Ehteshami spent five years in experimental research and implant analysis and biomechanical research at: UC Davis, University of Vienna, and Hospital for Special Surgery. With over 20 publications and presentations credited to his name, he has received numerous awards for his work. He is currently in clinical practice at Cervical Spine Centers, focusing on cervical spinal pathologies.

David Castleman
Chief Operating Officer

David is a medical device industry veteran with more than 28 years of orthopedic experience including 16 years in the spine segment. He has held leadership positions in product development, international business, and marketing with major device companies including Smith & Nephew, Medtronic, and Zimmer Biomet.  David received his MBA from the University of Memphis and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee

Jeff Horn, MBA
Chief Commercialization Officer

Jeff is a medical device executive that has served in a variety of leadership roles in sales, marketing and business development with J&J Ethicon, Danek, Smith & Nephew, Spinal Concepts and Kyphon.  He has documented success in developing and implementing commercialization strategies in the orthopaedic, neurosurgery, pain management, primary care and out-of-network spaces.  He received his B.S. in Education with a minor in biology from the university of Missouri, Columbia and M.B.A. with a major in Marketing from the University of Memphis.

Babak Ehteshami
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Ehteshami has held numerous management positions in his 35 years career in multiple industries. Before joining Additive Implants, he was the president of eDevelopment Corporation, an enterprise software solution with customers ranging from numerous Fortune 100 to micro-level startups. While there, he managed their talent resource allocation and helped bring new products to market. Prior, he held management roles in Xilinx Inc., LSI Logic, Raynet, Altera, and Xicor. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, an MS in Operations Research, and a MEng from the University of California at Berkeley.

Matt Zoghi
Engineering Manager

Matt Zoghi has a MS in Biomedical Engineering from City University of New York followed by research at Mount Sinai Hospital and University of Texas at San Antonio on bone modeling through computer-aided design and finite element analysis. He has extensive medical device design experience.
